I enjoy the medium of pastels.  I also paint in other mediums from time to time.  I love the vibrancy and immediacy of pastels.  I paint from pictures I or my family and friends have taken.  Also, I enjoy painting plein air when weather permits.  I paint all subject matter from figurative to landscape.  I see a painting in the everyday moments of life.  As I drive down the street and see a lamp in a window, people in a coffee shop, children playing, I think of Edward Hopper and his paintings of real people in the window of life.

I am a member of The Colonie Art League, Local Color Art Gallery, The Arts Center of The Capital Region, and The Adirondack Pastel Society.
